Illinois SBDC International Trade Centers

International sales are the key to long-term business survival in today's competitive global environment. Illinois SBDC International Trade Centers (ITCs) and NAFTA Opportunity Centers (NOCs) assist Illinois manufacturers and other businesses with professional advice and resources to enter the global marketplace.

Illinois SBDC ITCs and NOCs serve small businesses through:

  • Identification of specific foreign markets in which a company's p;product or service would have the greatest demand
  • Identification of potential foreign buyers, agents, and/or distributors through trade leads
  • Guidance and training programs on export procedures, distribution, methods of payment, and foreign business practices
  • Assistance with export documentation and compliance issues
  • Information from an extensive collection of international trade reference materials
  • Access to customized international marketing research through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity's Office of Trade and Investment and the state's foreign trade offices
